About Alpha Kappa Psi
Alpha Kappa Psi was founded on October 5th, 1904 by four students attending New York University in New York City at the time: Frederic R. Leach, Howard M. Jefferson, Nathan Lane Jr., and George L. Bergen. The four men attended school at NYU and would walk home together after class across the Brooklyn Bridge. On their walks they discussed their wish for an organization on campus that focused on brotherhood and the business ideals of the 20th century, a wish they put to action and which became the ΑΚΨ we know and love today.
Since its formation, AKPsi has been the oldest, most prestigious business fraternity. Through its core values of brotherhood, knowledge, integrity, service, and unity, Alpha Kappa Psi is recognized as the premier developer of principled business leaders. With nearly 265,000 members, AKPsi has expanded chapters to more than 300 campuses worldwide.
